They have launched their Young Entrepreneur Scheme to lend a helping hand to new or growing businesses in the Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, and Somerset areas.
“We are thrilled to receive a donation from Tolvik to support our work with young people in the South West. Their Young Enterprise Scheme offers a huge opportunity for youngsters with great business ideas who may be lacking in confidence or resources to turn them into reality. We hope to partner with Tolvik next year to inspire young people to think about careers in the environment and waste sector.” Sally Melvin, Ablaze CEO
Through the new scheme, Tolvik will provide eligible young entrepreneurs with an interest-free loan or equity investment together with mentoring support from a Tolvik Director.
“The Directors at Tolvik are passionate about inspiring local young people to enter and succeed in businesses that contribute to sustainability” explains Chris Jonas, a Tolvik Director.
“The aim of the Tolvik Young Entrepreneur Scheme is to assist local start-ups to establish or help an existing business to grow. Support is focused on businesses with the potential to offer a lower carbon footprint than current alternatives. Our definition of sustainability is deliberately wide ranging to incorporate new companies clearly operating in the environmental and sustainability sectors.”
