Airbus Filton made a huge impact on raising the aspirations of some Henbury Court Primary Academy pupils this morning.
The Reading Buddy and Number Partner children were treated to a World Book Day visit to Airbus, to share some reading with their Airbus volunteers and see where they worked. This not only gave them an insight to what their Airbus adults do every day but it also helped inspire them to consider a STEM career in the future.
Jane Sawyer, Henbury Court Academy’s Assistant Head Teacher, fed back just what an impact it had on the pupils in her video:
The Ablaze-supported pupils were very excited on the bus back to the school and said of their visit:
“It was an amazing day at Airbus – we would love to go back.”
“The building was amazing!”
“I’d like to work there when I’m an adult!”
Huge thanks go to Eve Rodway, the Airbus Ablaze Business Coordinator, who organised this exciting event for these lucky pupils.
